LON Melissa Fisher and Kristen Conrad Win Inaugural Füry Rode 2017

Melissa Fisher and Kristen Conrad take the overall win the inaugural Füry Rode event in 2017, by 4 minutes over the other 7 competitors on a 34 mile loop around Sand Mountain, with 6 challenges! Total time to complete all challenges for Fisher/Conrad was 24 minutes 49 seconds, and total lap time was 10 hrs and 50 minutes to complete the two-lap course that included a wide varitey of terrain found at Sand Mountain.


Checkpoints along the 34 mile loop included blindfold challenge, a mini-rock race, a rock crawl, a short course challenge, and paintball marksmenship and a winching challenge. Eight competitors in thee classes attempted the inaugural year, with seven finishing.

The women of Ladies Offroad Netowork dominated the event with Charlene Bower and Jessy Helms winning the stock class. The ladies enjoyed lap one so much that on lap 2 they even took the time to make sand angels on Competition Hill! 24991056_690775674461306_6829136037583668227_n

The 2018 event will have a slight change in loop course as well as two additional challenges.
